Politically Correct visualizes the fragility of language and identity under social pressure.
The work consists of five stainless-steel sentences, each stating the phrase “politically correct.” Installed vertically from top to bottom, the first sentence is fully legible, while each subsequent one becomes progressively distorted until it is no longer readable.
This gradual breakdown reflects how the pursuit of political correctness—when pushed to extremes—can erode clarity, authenticity, and even self-expression. What begins as a clear statement dissolves into abstraction, emphasizing the tension between social conformity and individual identity.
