Adel Abidin’s work will be featured in a collective exhibition at Espace Culturel Louis Vuitton named Orients sans frontières, Paris, opening the 7th of February. The seventh exhibition at the Espace Louis Vuitton is inspired by the legendary expedition "la Croisière Jaune" initiated by André Citroën in 1931 along the Silk Road.
Adel Abidin is invited for a two months residency at Montalvo Arts Center.
Curators Edi Muka and Joa Ljungberg have selected Adel Abidin to take part in the 4th Gothenburg Biennial which will take place from the 25th of August to the 25th of November.
Adel Abidin has been invited to be part of the next Venice Bienniale! Curator René Block selected him alongside Finnish artist Maaria Wirkkala to be part of the Nordic Pavilion show untitled Welfare – Fare Well. Other artists invited are Jacob Dahlgren (Sweden), Toril Goksøyr ja Camilla Martens (Norway) and Sirous Namazi (Sweden).
Arguments (Väittämät) is the Adel Abidin's solo show at Kluuvi Gallery. It will be splited over two periodes, and each one will display two sequences of propositions.
Arguments 1 will take place from 8th to 15th novembrer 2006 and Arguments 2 will take place between the 17th and the 25th of the same month.
The new show About Me will be viewable from the 26th of April until the 7th June 2006 at Huuto Gallery. It will feature the 4 new works Adindin travels, Cold interrogation, Raukkauslaulu and Vacuum.
